WOD: Max Reps:4 minute AMRAP:8 Pull-ups12 Box Jumps 24/18 4 minutes to establish a 1RM Clean and Jerk 1 minute Rest 4 minute AMRAP:10 Alternating Dumbbell Snatch 50/3515 Air Squats 4 minutes to establish a 1RM Clean and Jerk 1 minute Rest 4 minute AMRAP: 10 Ball Slams 40/30 20 Double-unders 4 minutes to establish a 1RM Clean and Jerk It is important that you attack each one of the On-ramps as hard as possible, do not game them thinking it will help you lift more on the Clean and Jerk. You may start the Clean and Jerk bar with one plate on the bar and build from there. WOD: Push Press: 5-5-5-5-5 You should be looking to hit a 5RM. Make sure all 5 sets are heavy, don’t just build up to one heavy set, 5 heavy sets! Be sure to Push Press and not start Push Jerking as the weight gets heavy.12 minute AMAP:10 Deadlifts 315/20510 Wall Balls 20/1410 Toes-to-Bar For results post heaviest set of Push Press, and rounds plus reps for Met-con along with any scaling used.Post results/thoughts to comments Heavy Deads was the name of the game today. Nice working pulling some heavy bars guys. Especially in a Met-con when the weight gets heavy, make sure you are resting over picking the bar up with compromised form. Way to push some heavy loads around guys and hit some nice squats. Remember to always be conscious of the chest and elbow positioning, and if you’re back isn’t working, you’re chest isn’t high enough. Short little met-con today, but a wicked burner. Cheers.
