CrossFit Vermont: Monday, April 5th, 2010
What do you know, still feeling sore today. Calves and lats are feeling pretty good, but my shoulders and triceps are still quite sore. Beautiful day, got some good training in outside. Started working with the Bliss Team today, only one of the guys showed up. I’m pretty pumped to start helping out with the training for a cycling team that I was one of the original racers on. Solely strength work today. WOD: Military Press: 115X5, 5, 5, 5, 5One Legged 18″ Box Squat: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 Overhead Squat: 75×10, 10, 10Kettlebell Swing: 35×10, 10 10 Each of the above grouping’s were done as supersets. Happy Easter everyone. No training today. So my shoulders and triceps are still destroyed. I really can’t remember the last time they were ever like this. My lats are still pretty sore and my calves are also still sore. Definitely a needed rest day. Cheers. – Jade

Holy sore this morning still. My shoulders and tris are even worse than they were yesterday. In addition my lats and calves are pretty sore. Thinking the lats soreness is from a combination of pulling a little too much on the kettlebell snatches yesterday, but also from supporting my body when doing push-ups. Calves are definitely sore from the box jumps which were completely new to me. By the end of the day my abs were actually a bit sore as well. Not really sure where the hell that came from but they hurt and that’s good I guess. Went for a pedal on the mountain bike today. Nothing long or hard, just good to get out on the bike. Got my first little fall out of the way, and I’m pumped to get as much riding in this season as possible. Finished…

Ah, incredibly sore this morning. My shoulders and triceps are absolutely destroyed. I can’t remember them ever being this sore. Completely torched. I guess the met-con yesterday was just the right amount of weight and intensity to really work my shoulders and tris. Really, they are beat, and I think they are going to be like that for a few days. Got a solid WOD in today. Went to the S. Burlington High School track, brought along some kettlebells and plyo boxes. Got a buddy of mine out for his first CF workout, and my neighbor Alex and a guy named Phillip he has been training with also came along. Nice to get a small group together to go out and train. Woke up 5 minutes before my alarm this morning and I felt awesome. Felt ready to go right when I woke up, just such a great feeling. Not sure why, maybe a clean day of eating yesterday was responsible. Worked out this morning before eating. Going to be looking at another space next week. Finally have all my documents in place to start getting money from private investors. Hopefully the process goes smoothly and as quick as possible.
