So another poor day of eating yesterday. I was on schedule for a good day but went to a dinner party last night and paleo didn’t quite fit in with what was offered. So be it, I wasn’t going to pass free food up with a bunch of my friends. I kept track of calories and such through the first part of the day, but since I couldn’t at the party it isn’t relevant. Quads were feeling a bit worked this morning from Fran yesterday but I was determined to do Elizabeth today. I bailed on it last time half way through the workout because of extreme soreness and I was determined one for that not to happen again, and two to get a nice reduction in time. Worked out right when I got up. WOD:“Elizabeth”21-5-9135lb Full CleansBar Dips 11:44 So the last…

Intake yesterday was great. Non-paleo food was ketchup, and I went out last night and had a few beers. The caloric intake below does not take into account alcohol. 12/4/09 IntakeCalories 2030Fat 117.5 grams 51%Carbs 81 grams 16%Protein 171 grams 33%Fiber 28.5 gramsCholesterol 795mg Felt pretty good overall today. Had to get up early to go do a CPR certification. I was pretty tired afterwards so I came home and passed out for a couple of hours. Woke up feeling pretty good so I decided to go to the gym. Of course once I decided to go to the gym it went downhill. I had diarrhea both before and after working out. Not sure what the deal is but my stomach has definitely been feeling off. I think it might be from the flip-flopping between my two levels of nutrition. Anyway I did…

So intake was bad news. My sick feeling made me want bad food basically, and I gave in while I was at work. Had a slice of pizza and a big cookie. This has definitely been a bad month of eating compared to my first 1 month trial run of paleo nutrition. 12/3/09 IntakeCalories 2623Fat 134 grams 45%Carbs 202 grams 31%Protein 157.5 grams 24%Fiber 25 gramsCholesterol 1520mg Not much to be said for today. Didn’t train, planning on resting all day. Woke up this morning and still had a little something sitting in the back of my throat. Hurts a little to swallow, but by the end of the day I felt pretty good and am looking forward to trying to workout tomorrow given I feel okay. – Jade

So intake yesterday was great. Maybe a little high but great food. Non-paleo food was ketchup. I’ve been trying to get some of my dietary intake levels into a general range of what Dr. Sears recommended for certain types of food. By all means I’m not zoning, but I have an idea of what I try and eat everyday. The goal is 2lbs of veggies, .75-1lb of fruit (depends on the fruits I’m eating, fructose content based), 1.25lbs of meats, and I fill in some nuts in between typically 2 TBSP of peanut butter and a 1/4 cup of nuts. 12/2/09 IntakeCalories 2351Fat 127.5 grams 49%Carbs 118 20%Protein 186.5 31%Fiber 38 gramsCholesterol 1021mg Was wicked sore this morning. My chest is worked, and my back is destroyed. Funny what such a small volume of workload can do if executed in the proper fashion….

Another great day of eating yesterday. I did have one very minimal, but bad cheat. I was craving sugar big time and feeling a little run down at work so I had 4oz of Coca-cola, in addition I had 3 TBSP of Ketchup. Other then that all food was paleo. Feeling a little more tired than normal and I think I might have damaged my insulin sensitivity with those 3 binge days while on break, hence my body is craving carbs a bit for energy. Hopefully this will go away in a few days. 12/1/09 IntakeCalories 2392Fat 122 grams 45%Carbs 129 grams 22%Protein 194.5 grams 33%Fiber 31 gramsCholesterol 1596mg Soreness was pretty much gone this morning. I was still a bit sore in my traps and lat area, but nothing real bad. I will say I was feeling pretty beat this morning when…
