CVCF Gym Update – 4/13/20
I hope everyone has a great weekend, if you do Easter I hope it was a fabulous one, and if not I hope you were just able to get outside and enjoy the day and get some sunshine. A little bit of a bummer to see the warmest day of the week be rainy, but it looks like we’re going to have albeit a little cool, a gorgeous week. Plenty of opportunity to get outside and get some sunshine, hit some running intervals, or maybe just bring your whole workout outside.
As I’m sure you all know we are now under state mandate to stay home until the 15th of May, which of course means the gym will also be closed for that time. The 15th is a Friday, which likely means if the state holds to that we’ll likely try and open for business on Monday, the 18th, and use the weekend to get all of the gear that has been rented out back and get the gym setup. That is an initial timeline/model we’re looking at for opening, with that being said we’ve heard plenty of rumors we may ultimately be forced to stay closed until June 1st or even later if they decide to open-up select businesses in different waves. So we are mentally prepared for these timelines and we’ll continue to keep an eye on things and take it one step at a time, but at the moment it looks like we won’t be able to open for at least 5 more weeks.
With that being said it’s hard to believe we’ve already been closed for 4 weeks as of this Wednesday. Dani and I have truly found the days/weeks to go by quite quickly as we’ve been about as busy as we ever have in the last few years, and really finding that the days are blending together. Having the regimented programming protocol has basically been how we’ve been keeping track of the week and having our days of more work or less work. As we move forward through the next 5 weeks we can’t thank you all enough for continuing to support the gym, support us, and support the community, we can only hope that you’re finding guidance, motivation, and regularity in the content and communication we’re providing.
As we look ahead to the coming weeks we’ll continue to do what we can and do appreciate any feedback and suggestions. Obviously we know we can’t make everything right for everyone, but we’d like to do our best and put our energy into items that provide you all with the most use. A couple of quick items for this week…
- Saturday, April 18th, @ 9:00 AM we’re going to do a live workout on Zoom. Just as we’ve been doing there will be 3 workout structures in terms of movements based on the equipment you have. In fact there will only be one piece of equipment used for each respective programming track. This will be a “Power Hour” style workout, that is going be quite randomized to a degree and you guys won’t find out what the workout is until right before we start. We wanted to do something a little different, exciting, and also challenging. Please be prepared for around 75 minutes total time so we can brief the workout and then get started. We encourage that you Warm-up ahead of time and get some full body activation and blood flowing.
- New Softgoods are coming. We’ve had a lot of people asking about new stuff in general, we’ve got a fun, bright new logo we’re putting out and will have everything setup in an online store where you can order and it will be shipped directly to you. We’ll have more details for you once we finalize our details.
- Seminar and Party are both cancelled for the moment. EZ’s seminar will be re-scheduled for this fall. If you’d like your money back for this please let us know, if you’d like to just hold your spot for the fall that works great for us as well. Those who have purchased tickets to the party we will start refunding this week.
That’s it for the moment. Thank you all so much for the continued support, and thank you for continuing to make your health and fitness a priority in your life, it’s so important to our overall quality of life and helps develop so many little qualities in our behaviors, mannerisms, and mindset that we often don’t even realize. I hope you all have great workout today and hope you’re able to enjoy some time outside in the sun this week. Have a great one!
