So not sure what I did, but I tweaked my back a little last night. It was pretty aggravated by the end of the day yesterday. Was feeling better this morning, not great, but I felt I could handle a WOD if I stuck to the right stuff. Aside from the back pain I felt good, good energy and such. My eating hasn’t been great the last couple of weeks. A lot of graduation parties, going out etc. I’m going to hit the eating hard for 30 days. No strict Paleo, but Paleo food will make up 90% of my calories. I’m going to do Paleo, plus dairy (really only cheddar cheese), ketchup, ranch (here and there, not used much), honey (again used little for select things, it’s local, organic stuff), and chocolate (90% cocoa, 3g sugars per serving with 22g of fat), so a few select non-paleo things but they make up a small portion of my caloric intake. I’m also going to start switching out a leaner meat in the morning, I’ve had bacon almost everyday for the last 4 to 5 months, going to switch it out, try something different, might go with ground beef.

Workout felt good. First time I’ve really gotten onto a high box. 36″ is definitely getting there. I honestly don’t think I could hit something much higher, 40″ max I think. These were seated box jumps, so I started sitting on an 18″ box and would jump up to the other box. Not done for time, land on the box all the way and then stand up. By the time I got to the last two sets they were getting pretty hard and my legs were feeling it and I was breathing a little bit. Double-unders went way better than last time I tried them. Really need to work on them more. Really focused on wrist speed today, got 6 in a row twice which I was pretty happy about, much better than only getting 2 in a row last time, and hurling the jump rope at the wall, haha. Met-con was good, my quads were feeling it a bit after the box jumps. Pushed hard, hopefully the cycling will continue to helps my knees. Push-ups were good. Got through the first two rounds unbroken, after that they got broke up. On the broken sets experimented with resting longer and getting more reps vs. short rest and less reps. Solid workout, felt strong, and my back felt good throughout everything. Cheers.
