Competition Programming
Sport, Uncategorized
Tomorrow starts the beginning of the Hatch Squat Cycle, as well as programming that will be a little more in depth for those of you that are serious about competing. I really hope that we can do this as many of you have asked for it, but if it doesn’t go smoothly we will be pulling the plug. A few things for those of you that plan on following this, see below.
1) I will start posting the workouts the night before. For those that travel or want to follow from elsewhere you will be able to do so, in addition it allows you all to be prepared accordingly.
2) For this to work, those who choose to do the extra work programmed are going to have to be very aware of the other classes that are going on and can’t be an interruption.
3) There will be no coaching for those of you who decide to do the extra work, that is on your own.
4) For almost all class times the back room will be available. With that being said there are classes that go on in the back room which we will need the space for. In addition we do private training out back as well, I will be putting a whiteboard up that outlines all of our privates. If there is a private going on the space won’t be free (the back parking lot is always open. It is absolutely crucial you aren’t occupying the space up to 15 minutes before the start of the following classes.
Monday:
7:00 AM On-Ramp
6:45 PM On-Ramp
Tuesday:
5:30 Kids Class
6:30 Kettlebell Class
Wednesday:
7:00 AM On-Ramp
6:45 PM On-Ramp
Thursday:
7:00 AM On-Ramp
6:45 PM On-Ramp
Saturday:
9:15 AM Kids Class
5) As always please pick-up after yourselves. Please don’t get in the habit of leaving things in the back room.
6) Classes will still be based around 1 Strength movement and 1 Met-con. Additional work is on your own and will take 15-30 minutes in addition to the 1 hour class.
7) Bring tape, your thumbs are going to need it, and get in the habit of wearing long socks for all the bar work, and possible Rope Climbs.
8) If you’re doing the competition programming on Saturday’s your only option will be at 8 AM, and with that being said I encourage you to come in a little early so the space is clear by 9 AM for the Kids class.
9) For those of you that come to the late class, if you’re doing the extra work please just be conscious of the time. I’d prefer not to be at the gym until 8:30 waiting for one person to do the extra work. If you’re in that position, think about coming in a bit early to class and doing the extra work first.
10) This is probably most important, if you’re at the gym you’re there to do what is programmed. This is going to be a big step for us and hopefully it will run smoothly, but people can’t come in doing whatever they please. If you’re injured we’ll find an appropriate sub for you. The workouts will be posted the day of now so if you want to know what you’re coming into you can look. Please show up to the gym ready to do what is programmed on the board.
