Pretty sore this morning from Bikram last night. My hip flexors, calves, and quads are all a bit sore. Feel good otherwise, and I feel lean. Really haven’t made much progress on the weight loss as I haven’t been eating completely clean. I really can’t wait to stop working at the restaurant that way I don’t have that food around me all the time. Was feeling a little tired after work, took a quick 20 minute nap, and then hit the weights in the garage. It has finally warmed up enough to workout in the garage, it’s been in the single digits the last few days and garage training was just not happening. Solid training today though.
WOD:

Muscle-up Progression: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Met-con:
7 rounds for time
Deadlift 275×5
“True” Burpees 10

Solid workout today. Warmed up with the rower and airdyne bike, did 1k on the rower and 1 mile on the airdyne. Tried to get an idea of distance on the airdyne that is equal to a 500m row. I’m think right around .7 miles is pretty close. Definitely feels like a solid machine and I think it is going to be a great addition to the training arsenal. Muscle-up work was great. I positioned the rings so that when I pulled up into the dip position I was on my tip-toes. By the end of the 5th set my chest and especially tris were pretty toasted. I need to start working on ring dips more. I’m going to start including them in my warm-up work. Met-con was solid. I think I should have pushed a little harder on the deads, with a little less rest in between the burpees and deads. All sets of everything were unbroken. I did “true” burpees, this means each burpee had a full push-up in it, not the lie down on the floor and press back up style. Felt good, and looking forward to what looks like a tough met-con tomorrow that is going to destroy my back. Cheers.
