CVCF Community! We are excited to announce that we are preparing for the 2021 CrossFit Open and that we are planning to run our 2nd Annual CVCF Intramural Open with YOU! We will run the Open workouts on Saturday mornings and we want to get as many CVCF members involved as possible! Our focus is to safely have FUN working out together, push ourselves a little outside of our comfort zones, while sharing a weekly workout with the global CrossFit community! Here are the logistical details… The initial three CrossFit Open competition dates at CVCF will be March 13th, March 20th and March 27th, 2021. CVCF Gym Update – 12/18/2020
We hope everyone is having a fabulous day and enjoying that beautiful sunshine despite the chilly weather. We wanted to get a few notes, updates, etc. out to everyone with the Holiday’s fast approaching and a New Year coming to us. So here we go… Covid & the Holidays Unfortunately we have to put this at the top of the list. With the Holiday’s coming we want to just send a friendly reminder about the Covid guidelines/protocols we’ve asked people to follow to help ensure us the best possibility of staying open. It seems our state as a whole did a great job over Thanksgiving, as I believe at this point in time, no large outbreaks have been traced back to large Thanksgiving gatherings, and as a State we haven’t seen a large increase in cases the last 7 days. We would greatly…
CVCF Gym Update – 11/16/20
Happy Monday! We hope that everyone is doing their best to enjoy the weather outside and focus on what we can control. Over the past few days we’ve had multiple members ask us what our plan is going forward with Covid or shutting down. As of now, our plan is continue to be here for all of you the best we can. We’re continuing to follow the guidelines provided to us by the state and we also hope that you all are being honest with your part as well. If we are mandated to close we are discussing options, from renting equipment back out and going to Zoom classes, to possibly not closing at all (since we’ve re-opened we’ve had 16,274 check-ins to the gym without a single person testing positive for Covid that we know of, and without a single member…
CVCF Gym Update – 10/26/20
Happy Monday everyone. We hope you all had an amazing weekend and got to enjoy some of that beautiful weather on Friday. As the temps drop, weather worsens, and we all work through this continued “new normal” we felt it appropriate and time to send out a few quick updates. First and foremost we want to say thank you for all of the support and working with all of us through this pandemic. It’s shocking to think it’s already been over 7 months since we were forced to close our doors, and 4 months since CVCF was able to open back-up. It has certainly been a period of time that we will always remember, and at the same time, we are still unsure of what the the future holds for us. With that said, we are hopeful we will be able to continue…
10 Years
It’s 4:30 AM, alarm clock blaring, no sign of light as the days have gotten shorter. I get up, get dressed, and go make 4 slices of bacon and 4 eggs before heading off to my first real day as an adult and business owner. August 25th, 2010, getting ready to open in what would seem like a closet today. Wow how time flies. While some things haven’t changed, many have. As those who have been a part of the CVCF community for some time all know, I tend to write some long winded e-mails, blog posts, whatever you might want to call them, so I’ll do my best to keep this one short. For me the scariest thing in life is how quickly time can pass, and at moments I don’t even know how 10 years went by so quickly. At the…
